2009 has been a year of change and uncertainty for quite a lot of us and 2010 at first glance may not look much better.

Diets don’t work.  This fact is obvious since each and every year a greater majority of the population gains more and more weight. They didn’t work ten years ago when everyone was trying low fat diets, they didn’t work five years ago when everyone was trying high protein diets and they don’t work today when everyone is convinced that low carb diets are the “holy grail” of weight loss.

It doesn’t take a genius to figure out that if you are trying to lose weight that you can’t follow the crowd since the crowd is gaining weight rather than losing weight.

Research consistently demonstrates that of all the various target behaviors studied, greatest weight loss doesn’t come from any fad diet.  It doesn’t come from eating more vegetables, from eating less fruit, from trimming fat from the table or from planned exercise sessions.  The target behavior that results in the greatest weight loss for overweight individuals is portion control.

 The problem is how exactly to train yourself to eat less…

The real key to portion control and to losing weight, believe it or not, is found in the nose.  That’s right, the nose. 

For years, medical doctors have known that when nasal centers are damaged, more often than not, obesity results.  Logically, since the less effective a person’s sense of smell is, the more weight they gain, researchers believed the opposite might be true.  This led to recent, groundbreaking studies demonstrating that a heightened sense of smell during eating results in faster satiety and less calorie consumption.  For example, studies carried out by one of the world’s leading medical researcher’s, neurologist Dr. Alan Hirsch, have found that overweight individuals lost an average of 34.7 pounds in six months simply by sprinkling his creation of specially scented inert organic crystals onto their meals and snacks.  This research formed the basis for the original scent product, Sprinkle Thin.  These astonishing results were confirmed and replicated in an independent study of Crystal Thin Diet Crystals ™.

Will I Become a Self Made Millionaire in 2010?

Here we are at the beginning of a new year, a new decade and for me personally; at a crossroads in my career and in my life.  For the first time I see my path straightening out, becoming clearer and paved to make this journey even easier.

  

Being the smarter networker I continue to keep myself open to new ideas and concepts and recently I found some interesting studies that inspired me to continue to take massive action building an at home business.

 

Let me share what I learned with you:

 

1. Did you know that 90% of all self made millionaires do one of three things:

-Start their own business.

-Become a great sales person with a great product.

-Join a start up company that grows into a large viable organization.

If you are starting a network marketing business you are already doing the first 2 if you are part of Tampogo you are doing all 3.

So take advantage of all the training your business opportunity offers and you will learn how to become a smarter networker.

 

3. Did you also know that most self made millionaires have one thing in common? 

They NEVER give up; on average a self made millionaire tries more than 5 opportunities before they find the right fit to create those millions.

Walt Disney filed for bankruptcy 3 times before creating Mickey Mouse and finding success.

The Gift of Giving…

I hope this finds you all enjoying the Holidays and attempting to clean up from the onslaught of cards, cookies, paper and packages. 

We are holding our own here at the Rocha Ranch but definitely still recovering.

Here is the best part of this holiday season.  My children finally learned the true gift of giving and how much more satisfying it is to give rather than receive.

For the first time ever my daughter had her own money; earned from various babysitting jobs and she was able to go out and buy gifts for the family on her own.  She had so much fun shopping, wrapping and giving hints.  I have never seen her more excited anticipating Christmas morning. 

My son made my gift in school and worried himself silly that it would not be done in time for him to bring home.  He was jumping for joy the last day of classes because he was able to bring my gift home.  He hurried into his room and spent over an hour wrapping the gift and getting it under the tree. 

On Christmas eve both kids were beside themselves with excitement and kept giving me hints; trying to drive me crazy. 

We all went to bed with visions of smiling family members in our heads…

My kids were up at 4:00am and starting the coffee; they couldn't wait any longer…

So yes we were up at 4:15am opening gifts and having a ball.  I received new slippers, pj's and the new Steven King novel from my daughter and my son's vase was beautiful.  I was so happy and it just kept getting better…  For the next 4 days both kids kept talking about how much fun it was to get me things and watch my face as I opened them.  It was a really cool experience; especially when your 12 year old tells you how much more fun it was to shop for others than to get gifts. 

One of those magical moments when you know you must be doing something right as a parent.  They don't happen often so trust me you enjoy them to the fullest when they do…

I have been having the bestest time and we have lots of fun stuff planned for this week so while I will be posting when I can there may be some days when I just can't get to it this week.

So Today I am here to share some free and very low cost ways to advertise, market and find leads and prospects for your business opportunity.  This is a topic that everyone is interested and probably struggles a little with.  It comes back down to; if we were all experts at this we would all be making 6 figure checks..

I also want to remind you all of these tools and techniques can be used for any business venture.   We may often talk about Tampogo because that is our prime opportunity but anything we teach here works well with any business opportunity.

 

Before I get into the specifics I wanted to review one thing. 

While advertising, marketing and social networking should be things that you learn more about and integrate into your business; doing just advertising, marketing and social networking online will NOT grow your business quickly. There’s lots of promises out there but only real effort connecting with real people will create real success.

 

These types of marketing require a hit and miss approach where you have to constantly tweek, change and upgrade your presence to draw people to your business. You are trying to toot your one small horn into a cacophony (one of my favorite words and one I try to use often; for those that don’t know it means loud and boisterous noise) trying to toot your one small horn into a cacophony of other marketers all trying to capture the prospect’s attention.

Remember I told you it will take 6-12 months to begin to see the payoff from daily effort in these areas.   

 

If it were that easy where all we ever needed to do was to advertise and market our website on the internet and immediately we would acquire thousands of recruits; there wouldn’t be a 95% failure rate in our industry.  There is a reason for this fallout rate. 

It is a super easy to understand reason and anyone can overcome it.

The reason is People don’t do anything  The solution is to take what…. Action and do something.

 

They don’t get comfortable with approaching and talking to people. 

They don’t tell their family (they don’t want to be seen as a joke)

The don’t tell their friends (they don’t want to be made fun of.  I was even told I was a part of SCAMpogo once… but it didn’t affect me because I knew my stuff and I am succeeding …)

They don’t talk to all the people they come in contact with everyday.  (Someone might think they had a screw loose; or that they fell for a pyramid scheme…)

Like I always say you don’t have to be crazy to work with me but it sure helps.

I am comfortable with myself and my opportunity so I don’t care what people say…  In fact I just had  someone comes back to me and says “why didn’t you tell me about this; and I am going to be able to look them in the face and say,  I DID…

 

I will tell you this once, I will tell you this twice, heck I eventually will tell you this over 100 times and still the vast majority of you will do nothing and then blame your business, your sponsor or the products or services you represent for your lack of success.  But folks I am here to tell you your failure will be 100% your fault.  Because your not taking action…

 

You have all the tools right here to succeed.  We are giving you a step by step, piece by piece pathway to success and the biggest segment of that path is taking action and talking to people. 

We will continue to present the core ideas in fun and interesting ways and we are watching what people do and we are definitely beginning to see a couple people using what we are sharing  and building their success.  Debbie I know you are out there

 

It won’t happen overnight but with a concerted effort you will see a payoff within a few short weeks.  But the only way to achieve this early and continuing success is to talk to people. 

 

Advertising and marketing will help to find people to talk to but again it will take time and often you will only find other marketers who want to introduce you to their business. Only by learning this material, committing it to memory and feeling 100% comfortable with it will you create the confidence to talk to anyone, in any situation at any time. 

 

 

So let’s get to it… Let’s go Let’s go l.e.t.s.g.o  remember that one….

 

First I want you to think of a wagon wheel with a hub and many spokes extending outward to a circular rim.  Now let’s imagine that you are that rim.  You are the material that holds the entire wheel together. 

Without you as the outer rim the spokes fall out of place and the hub falls to the ground. 

As the rim of the wheel you are the only part to touch the ground.   You are the catalyst to knowing if the road is smooth or filled with potholes and sand and to moving the wagon. 

 

You are the one making contact with the road. 

So in any network marketing game plan you must be the one making the contact.  Again right back to; you must be talking to people.

 

But of course the spokes and hub have a vital role in the stability of the wheel too so as you gain a comfort level with talking to people you definitely want to strengthen and build your spokes and hub.  Your marketing, advertising, social networking and if you are interested blogging. 

 

I think of my blog and or website as the hub of my marketing wheel and advertising, marketing and social networking are all my spokes.

So as the rim  I am feeding all the people I am talking to into my social networking and advertising spokes; that should feed prospects to the blog which in turn should lead them to the business opportunity.

 

See how it all works. 

Again I really want you to get this. 

You first MUST be comfortable talking to people otherwise the other parts of the wheel are less effective.

 

All of these things work together to create your identity and build relationships with everyone out there. 

 

So we’ve spent the last couple weeks talking about the rim of the wheel; YOU. How to improve your http://www.simpleology.com/p/s101/colleen.rocha34ability to create success by taking action, setting goals, understanding the personality types, tools and techniques to approach people and handle objections and knowing how compensation plays a role in all this.

 

What you’ve been doing is honing the rim of the wheel with personal development which is really important;

BUT IT IS NOT THE MOST IMPORTANT thing you will do…

It is something you should spend about 15-20% of your time on.    

So if you are working 10 hours a week on your business you should be spending no more than 2 hours on self development;

20 hours and you would be spending 4 hours and if you are only able to spend 5 hours a week on your business you should NOT be spending anymore than 30 minutes a week on self development (which means the only thing you should ever be attending is this call…)

 

What are the most important things you can do to create effective self development; easy: 

Get on the T3 training every morning and we are going to really shorten that learning curve and make the time you spend worthwhile and efficient

Visit this blog regularly.  This is a great resource for all the T3 information and calls. 

 

I also wanted to share with you the single most important site I use to improve my energy and time management by at least 100% if not more; it is simpleology.  Simpleology has given me all the tools I need to create an easy to use and easy to stick to daily method of operation.   That’s what it is great for teaching you how to create that daily method of operation.  Remember how important I said a dmo was and my morning today was a perfect example.

Simpleology 101 is completely free and it was the first class I took.  Once you sign up you will not only be given access to this course but you will continue to get useful free tools to use as you go.  There are other courses you can choose to take for various fees but I have found that course 101 was enough to get me on the fast track to success.

So we’ve concentrated on the hub of the wheel; now it is time to take a look at the spokes. 

Again an important part of the wheel but NOT the MOST important part of the wheel.

You should spend no more than 5-10% of your time on social networking, advertising and marketing. 

 

I use the most popular  MySpace and Facebook both are good but I have found that these sites are more useful to rehook with family and friends.  I find more people seem to be interested in selling me on their business opportunity.  But I continue to build my presence and share my expertise on both and I avoid pushing my specific businesses.  It really is about creating relationships and building a trustworthy presence.  As I become more people take advantage of my expertise here I have begun to get regular traffic to my blog and business.  But remember what I say; social networking will take 6-12 months of regular effort to make it effective.

 

I am on Twitter and I try to send at least 2-3 different groups of tweets out everyday.  An easy way to do this is to just keep an ongoing word document and write 3-4 simple statements to tweet for the day.  I tweet 3-4 in order to have a block of information.  People tweet so quickly if you only do one you only have half a second to get seen with a block of tweets you might have a minute.

Then I just copy and paste them into my twitter account a couple different times each day.  Again, there is a ton of training and paid ways to improve your traffic on Twitter, facebook and any other social networking site but if you set up a focused daily method of operation that builds in time for personal and professional development you will be able to learn these for little to no cost. 

Folk you only have time and money to spend to create your success.  If you don’t have the money you have to put in the time; even if you do have the money you still have to put in the time to learn what is taught.  So again you have to take action and give of yourself…

http://www.corkin.com/Profile/view.cfm?userid=55534  this one of the most effective social networking site place I have used so far.  Real networkers sharing information and if something peaks someones interest they will join you. 

http://www.betternetworker.com/members/CCRUniverse  This one is a social networking site that concentrates on sharing information rather than prospecting and recruiting.  I find it invaluable as a platform to continue to share my experiences and knowledge base and as people have gotten to know me and see my experience they are plugging into my training and business opportunity.

http://www.linkedin.com/pub/colleen-rocha/11/b75/689  This one is a little more formal but a great way to hook up with old work associates who you already had a relationship with so the relationship building learning curve is greatly shortened.

http://www.sokule.com/ccryder  free to use and looks a lot like twitter where you post little blurbs so again I just create 3-4 to post each day and I post them here and on twitter.

So each morning I get up and go out to all my social networking sites before I do anything else.  It is a great time to do this because it is too early to begin making calls and I get it out of the way and can now concentrate on my training and prospecting each day.   I spend about 1 hours give or take a day on social networking.

 

Another spoke of my wheel is advertising; As I have time during the day I do some free advertising:  I spend less than 5% of my time here and again use it as filler.  If I am sitting on hold I will place ads.  While I am eating lunch I will cut and paste ads you get it.

The easiest and fastest way to find free ways to advertise is to go out onto google and search “free classifieds” and you will have thousands of options to choose from.  Just go and check them out and see what ones you like using.

Don’t forget about Craigslist although I have found that you tend to get bombarded with other networkers spamming you in response to your advertisement.  But I have gotten a couple people through CL.

I have even been known to call other networkers if their numbers are listed who I think might be interested in Tampogo as a secondary income source.

 

As you probably have figured out I like to write so I have a bunch of ads available to post.  Here are some pointers to writing a good ad.  

Create unique and different headlines: 

Example:  You don’t have to be crazy to work here; but it sure helps…

Remember create value and Curiosity

Keep it short and sweet.   They should be able to read the majority of the ad on the open screen.  The longer it is higher the odds that a person will get bored and close the ad.

Make sure to include your website and ideally a phone number I have had more people contact me because I did include my phone number.

 

 

Now there are other ways to get your business in front of people for free.  They are traffic sharing websites.  They will require more time and they don’t necessarily get you specifically targeted traffic but they do get you traffic and I have gotten ireps here.

is A site to review other peoples business opportunities and receive traffic to your site.  Takes about 30 min. to do this but lots of good traffic.  You go on set up your site; then look at 30 ads and reply to a forum post and your link will get in front of more people.

 

Here are a couple of  sites I use that  also require viewing other ads but only take about 5 minutes to review.  These do just require that you look at 10-14 ads every day.

So we are building the spokes of our wheel.  I have harped on talking to people non-stop and here is probably the biggest issue most network marketers have; getting people to talk to. 

Remember you are learning here how to become so comfortable with what you are doing that you will be able to talk to anyone, anytime, anyplace but there are other ways to get even more people to talk to.

You can purchase leads.  Costs will run anywhere from a few pennies to $10 and more.  In theory the higher the price the less the lead is shared.  But don’t kid yourself almost every lead sold is given to multiple networkers to use.  I personally do not buy leads.  I used this method early in my networking infancy and discovered it was a waste of time and money.

 

I do use free sources for leads and you are going to  find that there is a higher than normal rate of bad phone numbers and emails but  they are still useful for several reasons.

1.  It’s a great way to get comfortable and practice your prospecting.

2.  with practice you will be able to approach anyone; determine their personality type and focus on building curiosity and value greatly increasing your success rate so while you may have to dial a lot of numbers to get a live person your success rate is so good that it is worth it.

Another spoke in the wheel is:

Emailing information to your contacts.  Remember whether you are talking to people or funneling them into your hub through advertising, marketing and social networking you want to be sure to find ways to get their contact information; both phone and email if possible.

 

Once you have their email you want to create emails and send them to your “list” on a regular basis.   Remember me mentioning that it can take 5-10 exposures to something before someone takes action.  This is a great way to keep yourself in front of your prospects.

 

I have reached the point where I use a marketing system that allows me to create autoresponding emails that are sent out at regular intervals to my prospects.  Now folks this does require a monthly $50 fee and when you are ready Tracy and I would be happy to introduce you to our system and of course train you on how to use it.  But I did not incorporate this into my business plan for at least 6 months. 

 

I used my normal email system and I created distribution lists within my email system and I would write emails and send that email to the entire distribution list every couple days.  This is of course more manual but it works.  As I said I am now able to leverage my time by spending a little money to make autoresponding more efficient.

 

When writing emails I use the same templates as I do for writing advertisements.

You really want to create unusual and interesting subject lines.

Well I can tell you the second option got a lot more replies.

 

You also want to be sure to create a signature line for all your emails.  Remember I mentioned this during our memory jogger call.  This is one of the bestest free advertising techniques you can use.

Again make sure it includes:

Your name

Website

Phone

 

 

Folks I think you see how we are building a complete system or wheel and now we have reached the hub.  In my case my hub is my blog.

 

If you are interested in blogging there are plenty of low cost blogging hosts that are out there.

You should be creating a blog that let’s people know who you are and what you are about.

If you look at my blog you know right away I am all about networking and committed to helping others learn how to work smarter not harder to accomplish success.  And it sure doesn’t hurt if we have some fun while doing this.

 

But I am sure that not everyone would be comfortable trying to create posts every few days and perhaps blogging just isn’t your thing.  You still have options.

Your website could be your hub especially if it is like Tampogo’s where we have an actual site that we can set up with information about ourselves and add other links which looks and feels a lot like a blog but will get people into our tampogo store too.   That is your tampogoirep.com/site  

 

Remember if at all possible though the goal is to make it something personal; something that is going to build your value with your prospect.  Sending them to a capture page that is only about your business can be a huge turn off for people.  Where as sending them to a page that has some personal information about you and some links to check out is a much more user friendly and value building way to go.

 

Blogging is not hard and again if and when you are ready our marketing system does include a blogging site that you can customize.  But in the mean time really investigate what your business opportunity offers.  As I said the tampogoirep sites are a perfect hub to anyones wheel.  You can upload a photo, write a little about yourself and take advantage of the interesting and informative information that is written about some of our founders, our cause and our opportunity.  You can also add links and there are already links included that will take people to your store, and all the other presentation tools we have available.

 

 

I know everyone here is feeling overwhelmed and may feel like they will never be able to do any of this.  Don’t you think long long ago Tracy, Isaac and Myself felt the same way.  Do you think I was born with any of this knowledge?

You know by now that I was born with an innate and unexplainable phone fear; but because I learned that taking action meant I had to get over it if I wanted to achieve success

I DID IT….

 

You may not know but I’m a little older than 29…  so I did not grow up with all these electronic and technical tools around me.  Folks to put it in perspective my famly did not get a microwave till I was in college… 

 

And once I got out of college and got my first job as a secretary (we weren’t called office assistants yet…) I had to actually type out purchase orders on a type writer, put them in an envelope and mail them to our vendors before they would begin any production work… 

 

I know I just aged myself but I am willing to sacrifice my youth to make a point.  (By the way I am still 18 in my head…)

 

So everything I have learned I basically taught myself.  It took lots of patience and practice but I did not quit.

 

So I’v shown you some ways to market yourself and I have tried to give you a framework to create your daily method of operation by letting you know approximately how much time you want to spend on these actions. 

So to review you want to spend about 25% of your time on advertising, marketing, social networking and blogging.

The other 75% of the time should be spent talking to people. 

 

There are days when I spend a good part of the day advertising and marketing myself but I am doing that to create more leads for me to talk to.  If I do marketing one day the next 3 days I will spend just talking to people.

As someone just starting out you really need to concentrate on talking to people so spend most of your time looking for free leads spend 5-10% of your time getting a list of people to talk to; then slowly work in the other types of advertising. 

That is exactly what I did and over time; as I built confidence I now am able to spend  25% of my time marketing which creates the leads I need to spend 75% calling and talking to people.

 

Did you hear that correctly; I spend 75% of my time talking to people.  If you aren’t doing the same you will not create growth, success and build an income.

2010 is just around the corner and if you are paying any attention to network marketing you are beginning to realize that this industry is in for the biggest growth ever.  With unemployment at 10% and larger in some areas (think Michigan) and most of the high paying manufacturing jobs gone people have to find another way. 

 

The great news is that Americans as a whole are trend setters and willing to try new things so network marketing is primed to become a major career choice over the course of the next 1-5 years. 

 

Folks that means that we are the pioneers we are the ones that are going to show people that there is an alternative to the status quo of selling your time for a measly hourly wage, we are the ones that are going to help people take control of their lives and we are the ones that are going to do this by setting proper expectations, being professional and offering value in the form of companies, products and training that shows a real way to make a living with network marketing. 

 

T3 is working for many people and we will continue to bring value to you every day so are your ready to represent network marketing? Are you ready to set the expectations and offer the help and support needed?

Last week was the foundation for everything we are building.  This week we continue to build on that foundation.

So quickly:

How bad do you want it…

Remember there is no magic wand but here is the magic formula:

HARD WORK + SACRIFICE + PERSISTENCE = SUCCESS

Get Started; go all in; never quit = success

 

Did you take action every single day last week…  You have to be honest with yourself…

 

If you did  you are already beginning to realize that creating success isn’t hard it just take effort…

 

Now we want to build on these;

Your number one job as a business owner is to get customers…

Not cleaning your office, not organizing your files, not calling your sponsor and talking about what is wrong with the company. 

You need to go out and get customers.

 

The number one excuse I hear when I tell people they need to go out and get customers is I Don’t Know What to say…

 

And our immediate reaction is panic which can in turn lead us to saying the wrong thing…I have often been known to open mouth insert foot

 

This is probably one of the biggest hurdles any network marketer needs to master to be able to create success.

 

Handling Objections. 

 

So the very first thing I want you to do to begin to build your ability to overcome objections is to stop thinking about them as objections. 

 

Think of them as just responses. 

 

You see objections sound just too much like rejection so let’s change how we look at them…

 

They are only responses.  You get responses to everything you do all day long; talking to people and getting their responses to you is no different. 

 

Responses are easy to deal with…  You respond to them…

 

So now you are getting responses… NOT Objections

 

This is fantastic… YIPPEE!!

 

Getting responses means you are taking action… YOU are TALKING to people… 

And it means that you are learning how to respond to responses.  You are practicing.  Practice makes perfect…

 

Next you need to realize that people experience their reality…

 

Now this sounds like some spiritual mumbo jumbo but let me give you an example.

 

For the most part I have some amazing kids.  But like any child they like to push the limit. 

They start goofing around and the next thing you know it sounds like a herd of elephants have begun rampaging through my house.  It drives my husband absolutely crazy.

He’ll start yelling and stomping around acting like a big ole bear; threatening the kids with every imaginable punishment.  No follow through just threats. 

Next thing you know I hear:  Colleen make them stop.

Now sometimes I just turn to him and say; They aren’t bothering me; if they are bothering you deal with it and then watch him squirm.  But most times I just give a short whistle (I whistle pretty loud by the way; no one ever wants to sit in front of me at a concert…) which brings the stampede to an immediately halt.

Then I hold up one finger; sometimes, being tween aged kids, at this point they try to justify their behaviour.  Then I hold up 2 fingers and they quietly go back to doing something that is more calm and quiet.  They know that if I get to 3 fingers there will be consequences and they won’t like what they are.   

 

They have learned from their reality…

 

We need to begin to master our ability to respond to our prospects reality (what they believe will happen) in a way that will help them to make a decision in our favor. 

 

To do that we Must create one of two things

Value or Curiosity

 

We have to help the prospect to see the value in us and what we offer or make them so curious that they desire to learn more…

 

So when you connect with a prospect take just a couple minutes to open the conversation and introduce yourself.

Remember before you even dial the phone you MUST know what you want the outcome of the call to be and be ready to ask for what you want.

 

Now I want to point something out.  Not everyone is ready to join when you originally connect with them which makes it very important to always be setting up that next step to take. 

 

They may not be interested today but when you call them back in two weeks they may have been laid off or have experienced something that requires additional funds.  So always, always, always make sure you remember to set up that next step…

 

It might be that next contact that opens the door because now their desire is in sinc with the value you offer…

 

So back to our call…

 

Hi Jane, this is Colleen Rocha and   your information came across my desk indicating that you need to create additional income in your life. 

 

Can you take a few minutes and tell me what kind of money it would take to change your life? (Remember the question; what is not perfect in your life yet?…This is a version of it and it will uncover their emotions/ their desperation and uncover what is really driving them…)

So if I could show you a way to earn that amount is there any reason why you wouldn’t want to learn more?

 

Or Isaac uses a great one; If I could show you a way to earn $30000 with a $25 commitment is there any reason why you wouldn’t want to learn more?

Next create some value for yourself  by making yourself important and unavailable…

If it is just to get them to look at a site or listen to a sizzle call then of course you have more flexibility in setting the time…)

REMEMBER TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE EXPERIENCED PROFESSIONALS AND LET THEM TELL AND SELL FOR YOU…

Biggest mistake I made early in my career was to talk to much and try to explain everything it wasn’t until I learned to keep quiet and send them to corporate calls that I began to really build my success.

 

You have begun to create curiosity because you are going to show them a solution to their problem and you have built value… you are so busy and successful that you need to schedule with them at a later date…

 

Now remind them about their emotion; their WHY… 

So we are going to set up a time to talk tomorrow and in less than 20 minutes I am going to show you how you will easily, quickly and painlessly create your own business opportunity to begin earning the $2000 a month you need to be able to save for your retirement or what ever amount and reason they wanted the money

 

Here’s a great way to cement this commitment in their minds while asking for what we want and building value for yourself:

1. 

So When I call you back you are going to be ready to give me 100% of your attention.

Wait for their answer

2.

What day and time can you be ready to do this for sure? 

Lead them to a date and time within 24-48 hours…

 

3. 

So at 11:00 tomorrow you are going to be available and ready to seriously look at an opportunity that will change your life?

 

4.  What is the best number to reach you at?

 

 

5.Ok so what time are we meeting?  By having them restate the time and date you are making it “their idea” and building that value.

 

So now the Fortune is in the FOLLOW UP….

 

Follow up at the agreed to time.  If they have done as they promised and are available great the possibility just increased tremendously that they you have someone who is serious.

If they are not ready move on, do not waste any more time with them. They have already shown you that they will not take this seriously.  Give them your website URL and walk away.  Add them to your email autoresponder and send them occasional emails but DO NOT beg, plead or try to convince them to join.  Perhaps at a later date they will be in the right place to consider joining and by keeping them in a email rotation they will be able to reconnect with you and if they did you now know that are ready to commit.

 

Just a few easy questions and you have saved yourself a lot of heartache and wasted time. 

 

 

If they are ready and available you now proceed with building that value and curiosity.

You remind them of their Why: connect with that emotion

Hi Jane, it’s 11:00 and time for us to discover how to create that extra $2000.  Let’s go take a peak…

 

Take them to whatever call, site or presentation you want them to see…

 

Now this is where we are going to get to the meat of the issues.  Handling their responses…

 

So they’ve seen your site, heard the call or listened to the webinar it is time to ask for what you want again.  At this point I ask.

 

OK you now have the information to create the $2000 you need to save for your retirement. 

Let’s get you signed up are you in front of your computer?

 

Here’s where they are going to do one of two things.

1.     Yup I am here what do I do next…

2.     Give you a response…

 

REMEMBER NO MATTER WHAT THEIR RESPONSE IS YOU CANNOT TAKE IT PERSONALLY… 

 

STOP RIGHT HERE AND PAUSE FOR JUST ONE SECOND TO BE SURE THAT YOU ARE NOT LETTING THEM DRAW YOU INTO THEIR EMOTION…  You already know what you want from this call remind yourself of this at this point.

 

You now have to listen, Hear and realize which response they are giving you.

Then use the following techniques to build the value and curiosity to solve their problem/desperation/emotion….

 

Again,  you have to listen and realize what response they are giving you in order to respond and build value and curiosity and solve their problem.

 

So let’s deal with the 2 most popular responses that we hear all the time

 

1.  I don’t have enough time…

And

2. I don’t have enough money…

 

So stop right here, don’t take it personally and don’t get drawn in remember time and money aren’t the real issue here.

 

Think about it.  If I spoke with you today and I told you I didn’t have the time or couldn’t afford to join your opportunity but then my refrigerator broke down.  Do you think I am going to find the money and time to get it fixed.   You know I am…

 

It is the same for anything that a person has placed a value on…  IF the value is high enough they will find the time and money.

 

So the minute you hear anything that even remotely sounds like I don’t have enough time or I don’t have enough money you now know you have to raise their desire and increase the value so that the prospect will take action…

 

So how do you do that; do something different something they wouldn’t expect.

 

Most network marketers would say OK so when do you think you will have enough time or money to join…

 

Remember if they had to fix their refrigerator today they would find the time or money so now you need to create an equal value for them to want to join your opportunity today.

 

So instead of saying something like that’s OK when will you have the time or money;  

try something like this

 

So if I’m understanding you correctly; you would be interested in joining today if you had more time;

 

Or

 

So correct me if I am wrong; you would be willing to purchase a product now if you had more money;

 

Whether they say yes or whether they say NO you want to begin building that value

 

You can begin this process by asking them

What they liked best about your opportunity? 

By asking them what they liked best you are reinforcing their desire and value within their own mind. 

 

Then you want to create a partnership:

I agree and I want to help you so let’s do this together.  Let’s brainstorm a little and see how we can find the time and or money to get you started so that you can begin building that income to the $2000 you need a month to supplement your retirement (or whatever it is they wanted to do originally).

 

YOU WILL NEED TO KEEP NOTES AS YOU GO TO HELP YOU REMEMBER PEOPLE’S WHY’S…reinstating it often will just build that value

 

Then offer them options:

Let’s see we could sign you up and set up your autoship for a couple weeks from now.

or

You don’t have to worry about knowing everything right now because I will do 3 way calls with you to explain the opportunity so you will save time learning from me as you go.

 

Remind them of all the things they liked best (you will be reinforcing that desire again and building the value)

 

And again ask for what you want. Be specific.

 

Let’s get you signed up today.  We’ll schedule your autoship for 2 weeks from now and I will call you at 9:00 tonight so that we can do a three way on our corporate call…

 

If they say yes:  Again Yippee

If you are still getting resistance it is because they are not seeing the value yet.

 

Be even more specific:

What is it going to take to get you signed up so we can begin making money together today.

 

Then respond to their answer and use it to create that next action step if necessary.   

 

So if you are still getting resistance you will want to

Reinforce what they liked and create curiosity.

Ok we know that you love the products and the fact that the company has an easy to understand concept.

 

So let’s touch base tomorrow at noon and by then I know you will have figured out how to create the time and or money so that you don’t miss out on adding people as soon as possible.

I am going to have several more people on board by then and You don’t want to miss out on all the momentum we are creating.

 

Pick a date and time within a couple days and again ask them what time and date the next meeting is set up for. 

You always want to reinforce your connection.

 

And follow up…..  

 

So let’s recap since the;  I don’t have time and or I don’t have money are the two most used responses you will come across.

 

First be 100% certain of what you are trying to accomplish with each call.

 

Then you want to build value and curiosity.

 

To do this Begin a call with a version of the,

What is not perfect in your life yet? …

 

Then build your personal value by telling them you only have a minute so you need to set up a future time to spend 20 minutes reviewing how your opportunity will help them solve their “problem”.

 

Then get them to restate the appt. time and date.

 

Make sure you follow up at the set time:

Take them to a call, webinar or website and then ask them to join.

 

If you get a yes:  YIPEE sign them up.

If you get a no you have to build value

 

So ask a question they wouldn’t expect:  if I understand you correctly if you had enough time and or money you would be joining right now?

 

Now remind them of what they liked best by asking:

So what do you like best about this opportunity.

 

Then use this momentum and the value they do see in the opportunity to get them to join.

 

Great so you just need enough time and or money to join because you do see that this opportunity will create the income you need to save for retirement, allows you to help others, is easy to understand… (whatever they liked)

 

So let’s get you signed up now and we can set up your autoship for a couple weeks out and then we will work together doing 3 way calls so you can learn as you go.

 

Let’s do it now I am so ready to work together to make this happen…waiting is going to do nothing but delay your growth.

 

Now if you continue to use these steps and build value you will connect with prospects at the right time for them to join.  You just have to do what?

 

Take action and think of objections as what… Responses, only responses

 

So that covers the 2 major responses you will get but there are a whole bunch of other responses that can be grouped into a category called

 

STALLING

 

People are famous for it.  We all hate to make decisions for a variety of reasons so we stall.

 

We might be afraid of making the wrong decision

Or maybe

We don’t want to be seen as different so we won’t make  a decision outside of our comfort zone.

 

Whatever the reason people love to stall and they are pretty creative when doing it.

 

Here are the most popular stall tactics  and some great responses to eliminate the stalling and get prospects to TAKE ACTION…You’re not the only one that has to do something…

 

The first stall:  That sounds great I’ll be ready to do it in 2 weeks…

 

You want to respond; So what will be different in 2 weeks?

 

They may say something as simple as I get paid in two weeks. 

It might be that they will be out of town till then

It might be that they will have finished a big presentation at work by then and have more time.

 

Whatever their reason just say:

Great let’s save us both some time and effort and get you signed up right now.  That way in two weeks you are ready to start immediately instead of having to spend more time setting you up and don’t worry we can set up your autoship to ship 2 weeks in the future.

 

If they admit that they don’t know what will be different in 2 weeks then they just admitted that they don’t see enough value yet.

This is the time to ask them what they specifically liked about the opportunity and use this to reinforce the value.

 

The second stalling technique:  I like what I see but I want to see how you do before I commit.

 

In this case they do not see the value in you yet.  So you want to say something very specific like:

 

My background is very different from yours and I am not sure what my success has to do with your success but; what exactly do you need to see  me accomplish in order for you to join?

 

In most cases they are going to say make money and you can now very easily say why would you want to wait to watch me make money when we could begin working together now for us both to start making money.

Or you could ask something like:

So what do you have to see NOW in order for you to make a decision now.

These questions will open up the real reason for the stall and allow you to build the value based on solving that problem…

 

Stalling technique #3:  I need to think it over…

 

I totally understand that you would want to think it over but could you clarify what exactly you need to think about?

 

This is going to give you the exact reason for the stall and now you are able to show them the value and solve that problem.

 

#4. I have to talk it over with my husband, roommate, ghost of Christmas future…

 

Oh so you are not the one in the household that makes these decisions…

When is a good time to call back and catch  Mr. Ghost of Christmas future…

 

Or

 

No problem, You obviously have a good understanding of this opportunity but since you have only just learned about this in the last 20 minutes Let’s work together to explain it to (name of person) what is a good time to call

back and get them on the phone.

 

In this case you should also ask:

If for some reason they are not interested are you still willing to move forward?

 

And one more stall: they just plain say NO or I’m not interested.

They are blowing you off…

 

Best way to handle that response is to say,

 

Wow I am not used to getting NO so would you mind telling me which part exactly is not for you?

Which part did you like?

 

This will open them up to giving you their problem/issue/desire and you can now begin to build value.

 

Now for the most famous stall of all…

Are you talking about a pyramid scheme:

 

I love this one and I am now comfortable enough to say:

No, why is that what you are looking for?  Of course they are going to say NO.

Great because a pyramid scheme is nothing more than money exchanging hands.  There are no products or services involved.  In our case you are purchasing an amazing product; creating a real business that will create possible tax advantages and taking advantage of daily training and support.

So what would you be interested in purchasing. 

 

I also want to talk about a stalling technique very specific to Tampogo.

You said it was free to join but I have to buy a product; that’s not free:

 

That one used to throw me but it is actually really easy to overcome.

Yes it is free to join and when you join you get 2 links to promote as well as a comprehensive back office to track everything you do.  Other companies would charge you anywhere from $100-$1000 to join then ask for another $25-$200 in monthly fees to get these internet tools.  Tampogo charges you nothing.

With regards to purchasing one item this gives you membership in the affiliate program which is how your commissions are created and activates the payment to you. I have also found that by making this commitment you are making a commitment to yourself to grow your business.  It is the people that make a commitment to AS that understand our mission to feed kids and understand that it takes action in order to grow a business. 

So are you ready to make that commitment today?

 

All of these responses can be used to create a relationship and it is this relationship that will eventually create the desire and get the prospect to take action and join you…

 

Remember in many of these cases and in network marketing in general it will usually take more than one exposure to help a prospect make a decision so do not give up.

 

The fortune is in the follow up…

 

A great opening line when you have to follow up; especially with someone who was stalling or blowing you off is;

Please forgive me I know when we spoke and last time you said you

weren’t interested

needed more time

didn’t have the money…

 

Then use the, I am running out the door and only have a minute but

 I realized I had forgotten to tell you about

I wanted to sure to tell you about this new update…

 

And set up that specific time to call and then give them a little teaser like

Great we’ll talk at 1:00 and I can’t wait to tell you about

this amazing new product we just released

or

how we have added an even easier way to grow an income.

 

Finally rarely but it does happen people will get angry with you or even insult you.

The best way to deal with this response is to agree with them.

For example,

I totally appreciate that you have this opinion and you have every right to have it but my opinion of this opportunity is that it is an extraordinary way to create an income and I just wanted to share it with you…

Is there a better time for me to contact you?…

 

Again I cannot stress this enough if you run into someone is completely blowing you off or not being available for appts. DO NOT CHASE THEM, BEG THEM OR CONTINUE TO CALL THEM.  Just add them to your email list and send them regular emails and move on.

 

There was a lot of information in this call but the basics for each type of response are the same.

You have to build desire/value and or curiosity to get people to take the action you ultimately want and that is to join you.

 

So always open with the,

What isn’t right in your life yet?;  to begin to understand the emotional reasons why they want to make a decision to join you.

 

DO NOT get emotionally involved yourself; it isn’t personal.

 

And continue to find ways to build the value through asking

What they did like and building on it

Or

Asking what they didn’t like and reviewing how you can solve that.

 

You will master these techniques if you practice them and pretty soon you will be able to handle any response someone throws at you.

But remember it will take talking to people to create the opportunities to practice.

 

You won’t do it perfectly every time but you will get better and better.

And when you make a mistake it is a great reason to call someone back and use the

“I know you said you weren’t interested but I totally forgot to tell you about and I know you would be interested in this because…”

 

Here’s a helpful hint:  I have created an index card with each of the responses listed and a couple quick notes about how to steer them to seeing the value in my specific business opportunity. 

Then I just keep all the cards in front of me and as I talk to people I can quickly grab a card and wala I am prepared and ready to respond to their responses.

 

If you don’t feel ready to get on the phone with prospects call a team member and practice on them. 

 

Tell them to use one of the responses and role play.  Then do the same for the team member and guess what now both of you are ready to go out and succeed…

 

 

Again, you are accountable for your success.

You have to determine How bad you want it…

If your why is big enough you will take action…

If it isn’t you will continue to procrastinate and accomplish nothing…

 

As Jim Rohn said

If you want to earn more you have to become more…

 

So take action, knowing you will not do this perfect right away.

But if you practice will you get better.  If you do nothing you will achieve nothing.

 

Remember one major trait of self made millionaires is that they do not wait for everything to be perfect.  They know that by starting now, giving it their all and never quiting they will perfect their skills and achieve their goals.

 

So today is the day to get on that phone and talk to people…

I absolutely love this time of year.  I love putting the Christmas lights up (just wish someone would help me sometimes…) I love decorating the house, I love baking the cookies.  The only thing I hate but I do it anyway is sending out the dreaded Christmas cards.  I hate addressing the envelopes.  I know, I know there is software to do that but I hate people who have printed envelopes and then just sign their card.  No message no nothing.  How boring…(Sorry if you are one of those people but come on if you are going to spend $.50 to send a card this is just going to end up in the trash please write at least one line of test telling me how you are doing…)

 

But no worries even though I don’t like the card part I still do it.

 

I woke up this morning at 6:00 (yup, slept in a little) it was still dark out and the snow is falling.  So all I saw was a field of white reflecting red and white Christmas twinkles; a picture perfect hallmark moment!

 

I stopped and gave thanks….

 

So even though most of us may feel overwhelmed with the Christmas shopping hustle and bustle; kids home; complaining that there is nothing to do and a bank account that has taken on a whole new meaning to being in the red; take a moment and reflect on what you do have…Take just 10 seconds to give thanks…

 

Then just right back into the Christmas Crazies…

 

I am going to be working a little today but most of this weekend is family time.  I am taking both my kids and a couple of the neighbors to go see Avatar this morning (its half price before noon…) IT IS A 3 HOUR MOVIE; it better be good…

 

Then I am dressing up and heading over to the neighbors for a little Christmas cheer.

Tomorrow is all about basketball.

 

Next week I will be touching base with you all through Wednesday morning but Wednesday at noon I am shutting her down and will not be back online till the following Monday.  I chose to work from home so that I would have times like these to spend with my family and I am going to do that.

How’s that for working smarter not harder?

 

You have all probably figured out that I love to tell stories.  So of course I have another one for you…

I continue to be motivated by all the positive feedback I get from everyone and it is driving me to give more and more of myself.  So let me share how the universe will show you the way if you are open to it. 

 

Since this week has consisted of review with new information included I really wanted to update my presentations so that I continue to hold everyone accountable; while giving you more tools and techniques to use to create your ultimate life. 

 

Well this week I have been working with my blog and developing the information that I know will help people and a strange thing happened.

 

First I got an email it was about Fear…

Which made me think about how I used to be so fearful of the phone and made me smile (lifting my emotional level and making me more committed to taking even more action…) as I realized how proud I was of myself for overcoming this fear by just getting on the phone and making the calls…  (raised that emotional level even more because I felt the pride!!!)…  See how you begin to apply what you learn.

Well, the next day I got a second email with a video about… you guessed it Fear…

Weird, so I watched it because I had just been thinking about it yesterday.

So, here we are today

I have been working one on one with a few people and this morning one of my team members asked me, “Why am I so afraid?…” 

I almost fell out of my seat…

 

We are all afraid of something and the universe has shown me just how important this is to our success so I will show you how to overcome these fears and create success as part of this memory jogger presentation.

 

So you all know what is coming next… 

 

HOW BAD DO I WANT THIS?  Obviously you want it pretty badly because you do keep coming back each day but what else are you doing to take action to achieve your goals? 

Have you figured out what jewel you are and are you using the personality information to help you work with your team and prospects?

Do you have your goals and objectives clearly defined?

Did you incorporate the questions and tips from this call last week? 

 

 

Remember 2 out of 10 people tend to take action and follow through.  So are you part of the 2 or are you part of that other 8?

 

Well the Good news is; this particular group seems to be exceeding that statistic. 

 

Again accountability is key…  I am happy to work with anyone one on one to give them a push if needed but the fact of the matter is that true success comes when you can hold yourself accountable.

We are going to continually help you find ways to be accountable for action and results.  This will measurably improve your financial and professional standing.  But you need to stay plugged in in order to internalize these teachings to be able to improve your accountability thus improve your success.

 

So are you passing it on to others.  Are you telling your team about these trainings and encouraging them to attend.  . 

 

Remember what I ALWAYS SAY:  If we help each other we will all succeed.   So help yourself and your team members out.

This is probably one of the best; if not the best weapons you have in your arsenal for developing duplication within your team.  You can now go out and recruit and let us train your team to duplicate success…

Are you taking advantage of this???

 

So let’s take that mind of yours out for a run this morning.

 

What are memory joggers (get it mind for a run…): they are a whole bunch of little things to keep in mind to help you to work smarter not harder.

 

There are of course the obvious ones.

When you are approaching people you need to be sure they have the minimal tools to be able to present an online business. 

An internet connection and enough phone minutes to be able to call people. 

 

An email account; I strongly suggest you create a separate email account specifically for your business. As part of your email process you should also create an email signature with your Store URL clearly listed.  This is amazing free advertising that everyone you contact will see.

 

Business cards; FYI Tampogo ireps; Tampogo now has a super low cost option right in the store.

Always, Always, Always be carrying your cards with you and it is also a very good idea to have a paper and pen handy at all times so that as you hand people a card you can get their contact information in order to follow up with them. 

 

The Fortune is in the follow up.

 

I told you the story of how I handed my card to the salvation bell ringer last week and when I did I got her contact number.  We have spoken and she listened to the 5 minute overview call and we have another appt. to talk later this week.

 

This week I have given my card to a bank teller when I deposited my check and to one of my daughters friends moms and while she wasn’t interested she is connecting me with her niece who she thinks might be interested.

 

Remember:    The fortune is in the followup.

 

 

Now I just gave you a couple other examples of how easy and quick it is to approach anyone.  But I always hear, I don’t know anyone…

 

Right… you don’t know one single person on this entire earth… You’ve been living under a rock since birth…

 

Come on folks all that is is an excuse and quite frankly I am sick of hearing them.

We all know at least 200 people that will come to our funeral… 

 

So write down everyone you know.  Don’t worry about how to approach them we will continue to help you with that just write them down. 

Here are some great resources to think about to help you:

 

Members of Your Own Family

Don’t forget about inlaws, second cousins or even people you knew through your exes.

 

Friends  With Whom You Associate Regularly

Neighbors and people you work with top this list but for some reason we never approach them.

 

Those You Meet In Organizations Or Clubs

Church, cubscouts, school, your gym

 

Those You Have Been Associated With In the Past

Former coworkers, schoolmates, military associates

 

People You Know Who Are In Direct Sales

Your insurance salesman, the person you bought your car; heck these days I even ask telemarketers when they call me if they need to earn extra money.

 

People You Know Who Are Decision Makers

The chamber of commerce might be a great way to get area business leaders to contact.  But remember you need to call them personally first, don’t email them without first contacting them as you will be guilty of spamming.

 

Those You Do Business With  This is a really great one…

Your doctor, dentist, hairdresser, postman, waitresses, clerks at your grocery store, day care personnel

I even just go into businesses (that doesn’t have a no soliciting sign) and talk to the business owner.  A lot of people are struggling right now and are open to secondary sources of income.

 

 

List of Acquaintances Already have  Available 

Christmas card list (great one to use now; in fact I am including a business card with a short note in every Christmas card I am sending this year) I’m trying to get them out early but it isn’t going so well… address book, cell phone, email, connections on all your social networking sites like facebook, church directory

 

Basically it comes down to this.  You have to talk to everyone you know, meet or come across because you NEVER know who will want to join you on your journey.  I even have been known to hand out business cards while I am pumping gas. 

 

You will find a lot of online trainers and mentors telling you that direct contact is no longer needed in network marketing.  Attraction marketing, social networking or referral marketing is all it will take to create ongoing prospects and leads.

 

While these methods are certainly something you should be learning more about and incorporating them into your overall daily method of operation.  They take a long time to develop and grow into a source of limitless leads and prospects.  Expect anywhere from 6-12 months of regular and consistent (meaning daily) effort to begin to see a payoff from using these methods alone.

 

Whereas, talking to everyone you know, meet or come across automatically gives you a limitless FREE source of leads.  Use IT…

 

If you are scared to do this;  get over it…

HOW BAD DO YOU WANT IT?…

 

By now you all know I used to have severe phone fear.  I know no one here believes that but ask my kids; I used to have panic attacks whenever I had to call someone I didn’t know.  Heck, I was really uncomfortable calling people I did know.  But I had to GET OVER IT

 

How did I get over it,  Here is what I did…

  1. Live with the total faith that you are going to succeed.  Never doubt your success and if it creeps in go to your faith…

 

  1. Commit 100%; remember that requires that you take action every day this will eliminate the fear because you are doing something and don’t have time to be afraid.

 

  1. Make sure the people you surround yourself with are positive like minded individuals.  If they aren’t limit your contact with them.

 

That is why I spend so much time talking to my buddies Tracy and Isaac and my other mentors because my husband for example is completely against what I am doing so I cannot listen to him. 

 

  1. Have a plan of action every day to give you guidance and keep you focused.  Remember that DMO…

 

  1. Plug into the tools available to increase your skills and your beliefs.  Continue to grow professionally and personally.

 

  1. Practice, practice, practice.  In network marketing that means talking to people all the time.  Then focus on the things that work.

 

  1. NEVER QUIT, NEVER QUIT, NEVER QUIT…  DO I NEED TO SAY IT AGAIN…  NEVER QUITE NEVER QUITE NEVER QUIT…

 

 

 

So get over your fear using the above techniques and make your list of contacts.   Start right now grab a piece of paper and a pen and write down 2 names right now…  I’ll wait…  better yet I am going to write down 2 names to call today too…

Carry a fellow coworker from Netflix

Terry a friend I went to highschool with

 

Again don’t worry about whether they will want to join you.  We are here to help you learn how to approach all the different types of people so just write them all down. 

 

Once you have them all written down take a few minutes and add a few notes to each name. What they do for a living, where they live, what jewel or color personality do you think they are. 

 

By doing this you will automatically find that certain people jump out at you as someone that might really want to learn more.

 

So for example;

Carrie, hard worker, very quiet, always wants to help people.   I am going to bet that she is a pearl.

 

Terry is outgoing, loud, center of attention and so much fun she has got to be a sapphire.

 

 

So now because I took a few minutes to make these notes I am able to use Tracy’s information to better approach each type of personality.

 

Let me share a couple examples

 

Carrie is that pearl so when you called her I want to ask her, “what have you been up to lately, still fostering the chihuahua’s?”  Then I should ask her, “wouldn’t it make you feel great to help eradicate hunger in the world next year?”   So I tell her how every single fast track purchase in Tampogo feeds a starving child for a week.  Then take Carry out to the Website and show her the information about our cause and  take her to visit the fmsc.org website.  Now ask her if she wouldn’t want help Tampogo feed these kids and think of how all the other volunteers you know will also want to help.  Then help her get signed up and on autoship. 

 

Terry is that Saphire so I want to ask her what is up in her life right now, what crazy things has she been up to.

Then I will remind her about some crazy adventure we had in the past. 

At which point I would tell her how much her skills could really help me with my new venture and then I would ask her to give me her opinion on the website and take her there to visit.  While we were there I would emphasize how much fun I am having and ask her to help me promote this because she is so good at it.   Then I would get her signed up…

 

Remember: You need to have all the resources you have available to you at your fingertips;  company calls, team calls, company overview etc… You want to be able to quickly share them with your prospects and introduce them to your opportunity with of course the ultimate goal being that they join and become an active and contributing member.

 

We can never understand when prospects don’t GET IT within 3 seconds of our sharing our opportunity but folks it is rare that you will do a one call close.  So have all your tools available and make sure you ALWAYS KNOW WHAT YOU WANT THE OUTCOME TO BE for each contact you have with your prospect so that when you are talking to people you are always getting them to take an action whether it is to look at a website or talk to you again tomorrow. Don’t leave them hanging.  Remember the fortune is in the followup so make sure there is a reason to follow up.

 

 

 

I have created a welcome email for each of my new iReps.  In the email I take them through a few steps they need to do to become active such as GET ON AUTOSHIP, know their store URL and become familiar with the store.

 

I then list all the phone calls that are available for them to take advantage of.

I give them the date, time, phone number, access code and a brief synopsis of what the call is about.

 

I give them links to the corporate overview and Fox TV segment.

 

I give them the contact information for several leaders on the team that are available to help them should I not be available.

 

And finally I give them my blog which is the place I update all training and information on a regular basis.

I have been taking some blogging training in order to improve the blog so it is easier to use.  I am very close to having all the recordings of the calls available on this site and as soon as they are there I will let everyone know.

 

This welcome email is written in a format that makes it easy to print out and post for easy reference.

So now we have a list of people to contact and some very useful information to share with them.  Now remember our ultimate goals is to get them to join and become a contributing member of your team so how do we get them to join.

 

Here are a few key points to keep in your mind to create the success you want.

 

Society has a whole has always driven us to learn more; we all know the saying, “knowledge is power” but knowledge is NOT what motivates people. We all KNOW we should be eating better, working out and getting enough sleep but how many of us really do it consistently?

So what does motivate us: EMOTION.  Our decisions are made based on our emotions.  Why else would stores put all kinds of crap in the check out aisle.  Who really needs that laser light to entertain their cat…(and yes I have bought it, thought it would make a great pet stocking stuffer…  I know your laughing out there stop it I love my animals…I know I know I am a sucker…) or Why do we all own more than one pair of shoes we only have two feet…

 

And there are only 2 emotions that drive people to take action:

Inspiration: 3% of all people are motivated by inspiration

Mother Teresa was motivated by inspiration and I guarantee as much as we may want to be like her most of us aren’t…

 

And the second emotion..

Desperation:  97% of all people are motivated by desperation

Ask your self an honest question right now; isn’t that what got you all into your opportunities??  That was definitely my original motivator

 

So we need to change how we are approaching people and find their desperation factor then help people find a solution to that issue

 

And here is the one question you need to ask people to find this information…

 

What is not perfect in your life yet?  By asking them YET?  We leave the door open to possibilities.  And it opens up the flood gate allowing them to share their problems with us.

 

Now we need to offer solutions: and again it takes just one question

So if I could show you a way to… make more money, have more fun, create more time for your family, save for your retirement  whatever their problem is etc…  is there any reason why you wouldn’t want to learn more?

 

Now I want you to pay really close attention to that last question.   So if I could show you a way to… what ever their issue is;  is there any reason why you wouldn’t want to learn more?

 

Most people are going to answer NO to that question right.  But what they are really saying is YES…

 

Did you know…

NO is ALWAYS easier to say.

Say NO right now…  NO    Now say yes…  YES   Did you know it takes more muscles and time to say yes so scientifically it really is easier for people to say NO.

So by creating a question that allows people to say NO you just got your yes and you made it easier for them to say yes.

 

Now you are able to show people solutions and share your opportunity with them.  Remember that list of resources to share with your ireps and prospects; NOW is the time to use it.  Use the 5 minute overview; have them watch the fox news report; get them on a call.

 

They are open and listening because you are going to solve their problem.

 

Don’t worry just one more thing to store in that memory of yours.

 

  YOU MUST ASK FOR WHAT YOU WANT.  Get to the point; be direct. Don’t you have far more respect for someone that gets to the point rather than rambling on and on about things??

Now one more time; HOW BAD DO YOU WANT IT???

 

Get over your excuses and your fear, don’t procrastinate and don’t spin your wheels.

 

With what you have already learned in the past nin days you can build your team into a $400 income in 4 weeks.  From there geometric progression will take you into the 5 figure income in a very short time. 

 

But if all you are doing is getting on calls and listening and you never go out and talk to people and listen to their problems and offer solutions then you will fail.

 

The bear is charging you and you are armed but the gun is just too heavy to lift or I don’t want to hurt a harmless animal.  Wouldn’t you take action???

 

This takes effort and it takes commitment and it takes work.  But doesn’t getting up and going to the JOB take the same and will you ever be able to set your own income in your JOB??? 

 

And here is the good news the more you do it the more comfortable it becomes; success has a funny way to doing that.

 

If you want it badly enough you will follow these steps and create success.  

I double dog dare you  (Ok what movie is that from)  Ok people that were on the call last week don’t tell them…

If that story isn’t a perfect example of a person who wanted something so badly he would do anything for it; nothing deterred him from making sure his parents knew he wanted that bb gun and guess what in the end he got what he wanted didn’t he… 

 

So if it takes everything including going to ask Santa to send you 1000 people on autoship for your team DO It… By the way if you have little kids (even if you don’t  take the grandkids or borrow the neighbors kids) take them to see Santa; sitting in that line for an hour would be a great way to have a captive audience of frazzled parents desperate for a way to pay off those credit cards after the holiday…

 

You have to use every opportunity…

 

GO DO IT NOW…  NOT TOMORROW NOT NEXT WEEK, NOT NEXT MONTH NOW,  NOW, NOW…  and don’t worry your won’t shoot your eye out…

 

Take the words Can and Can’t out of our vocabulary, 

 Replace them with I Will.  Anyone CAN DO anything but not everyone WILL do it.  

I will make 10 calls today, I will tell my brother about my business.

* Let them think that you need them…stroke their ego, tell

* Your team is needing someone with their experience and

leadership strengths; they take action, lots of energy,

organized, confidence

* Establish a rapport quickly but don’t try to become friends.

* Don’t talk to them about family or vacations.

* Keep the presentation moving and show them the money. Show

Mentoring a Ruby

When you sponsor a ruby, don’t dare think you are going to coach them or mentor them or tell them what to do, because it’s NOT going to happen. Let them do it themselves. They maybe impulsive and demanding but they get results. Rubies are well connected and with that your organization can grow exponentially.

A ruby is unteachable; the best thing you can do for them is to get them the information on Personalities and watch them soar, soar, soar like an eagle.

The only time when you might be able to coach a ruby is when life has knocked them down and you focus on their strengths;

You are an amazing producer. You are the best negotiator. You have energy to burn. You are a risk taker, a leader. You have confidence. You take action. And You’re independent. You’ll just take right off and start doing it. But what you have to remember is you have to let go of your EGO.

If a ruby comes to a Emerald, Pearl or Saphire, all Headstrong, they will be turned off, Goodbye. The only time a Ruby is success in their own skin is when they are prospecting another Ruby.
